If you weren’t already aware, summer is very much here in the UAE and it’s about to get even sweatier with humidity up to 90 percent.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said many areas in the UAE are set to reach 90% humidity today peaking tonight and tomorrow morning. Which combined with temperatures of 46 degrees, means it will be very hot. And very sweaty.
To put that heat into context, the coldest place in the UAE was near Al Ain where it dropped down to just 23 degrees. Although you would have been up at 4.30 am to experience that chilled delight!
Just to make things even more lovely, the NCM are also predicting high winds and dust storms in some parts of the country. Woo. And indeed. Hoo.
Or in other words, stay indoors!
Temperature smashes past 51°C as UAE heats up
The UAE has recorded a temperature over 51°C twice during recent days as the country endures one of the hottest starts to summer ever.
The highest recorded temperature in the UAE was 51.8°C which was recorded on Sunday afternoon in the Sweihan area of Al Ain.
But The National Center of Meteorology NCM said it was ‘premature’ to call it a record-breaking start to the summer.
