Growing a palm tree in space, say what?!
First, the UAE built a man-made palm over the Arabian Sea, Now, the nation is attempting to grow a palm tree in space. Is there any country that could match the vision of our country?
Recently, UAE sent homegrown palm tree seeds
to the Falcon 9 rocket launched from Elon Musk’s SpaceX. The seeds have reached
the ISS, where they plan to carry out experiments of germinating the seeds.
Palm tree seeds able to sustain life in the “harshest of conditions”

Agency says, “We chose to send palm tree seeds to the International Space
Station both because of their importance to the UAE’s culture and heritage, as
well as the fact that they are able to withstand the harshest of conditions and
are often planted in circumstances that resemble aspects of the Martian
UAE sending its first Emirati astronaut to the ISS this September
Hazza Al Mansouri is the first Emirati astronaut to go to space. He will embark on an eight-day mission at the ISS this September, conducting earth observations, interacting with ground stations and sharing information.
