UAE man who set fire to neighbour’s house for ‘constant hammering’ jailed for three months

News from Ajman now as a man was sentenced to three months in jail after he set fire to his neighbour’s house after ‘constant hammering.’

The 34-year-old man had become so annoyed with the constant noise and hammering from next door, he took matters into his own hands.

Which involved filling empty bottles with petrol and a cloth wick. Then then lit them and threw them on his neighbour’s balcony.

Oh, and he also threw rocks and damaged the apartment door before the fire.

Thankfully no one was hurt in the incident which took place last May.

The guilty man had reported his neighbour to the police on nine seperate occassions for causing a disturbance. But no action was taken until he took matters into his own hands.

And unsurprisingly, the arsonist was jailed for three months and fined AED5,000.

And, we hope, urged to move and find a new next door neighbour when he gets out of jail!
