UAE President HH Sheikh Khalifa’s representative and younger brother, Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan passed away on Monday, 18th November.
Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan passes away
One of the foremost figures in the Al Nahyan Royal family and the second son of the UAE’s founding father, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Sheikh Sultan served as the Deputy Prime Minister and as the President’s representative.
He also served as the chairman of the Media and Cultural Centre, as well as the Emirates Heritage Club amongst other initiatives.

Three-day mourning period announced in the UAE
Throughout the mourning period, the UAE’s flag will be flown at half-mast. TV and radio stations are usually replaced by Quran recitations and instrumental music for a temporary period too.

UAE Royal families mourn to the death of Sheikh Sultan
Royal family members in the UAE have expressed their condolences, saying he was one of the country’s “most loyal men,” and wishing his family “patience and solace.”
