UAE scientists might have discovered the key to stopping cancer tumours
Staying in the medical world, a team of scientists in the UAE might have found a way from stopping cancer tumours.
The team at NYU Abu Dhabi have found a compound that might help stop the growth of cancerous tumours.
The compounds are called mimetics and have already had some amazing results in mice. Mimetics have already been found to work combating Alzheimer’s disease and Type II diabetes.
The mimetics help activate the anti-cancer properties in your p53 protein.
The report was published in Nature Communications and is the result of five years of research. There’s still a long, long way to go until this research becomes a medical reality. But it could be the start of some life-changing cancer research for the UAE and the world!
