UAE opens up flights to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and more

The UAE has re-opened flights between India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and more giving stranded residents the chance to fly back.

Vaccinated people with a valid residency visa are allowed to return from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria and Uganda.

They’re allowed to re-enter the UAE from August 5.

Flights between these countries were previously banned due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The news was announced by the General Civil Aviation Authority and the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority.

The NCEMA also added that passengers must have a negative test within 48 hours of the flight. And the airports will create ‘special lounges for transit passengers.’

Those who return to the UAE must be fully vaccinated. You’ll need to travel with a Vaccine Certificate. And you must wait up to 14 days after your second jab before flying.
