The UAE is getting ready to reopen its borders according to new information provided by Dubai Tourism.
The news was broken by Arabian Business who quoted documents in the Dubai Tourism Trade Toolkit.
“Authorities are preparing for a full reopening of UAE’s borders, subject to the removal of travel restrictions by implementing a series of strategic measures in conjunction with their federal counterparts designed to ensure the virus does not enter the emirate through its sea and land ports,” according to the Dubai Tourism Trade Toolkit.
“Travellers will be welcomed to Dubai in a safe and secure environment ensuring seamless use of contactless technologies and advanced equipment for screening incoming and outgoing passengers to safeguard the city from any spread of infection. World-class cleaning and disinfection processes across all facilities, attractions and assets to ensure a risk-free experience for tourists in the city are being implemented,” it continued.
Dubai releases new tourism video
The news that the UAE is ready to reopen its borders comes hot on the heels of the new Dubai tourism video released several days ago.
The promo video for the city highlights some of the cleaning and healthcare measures in place across the region. And it also features some of the city’s best-known landmarks including the Burj Khalifa, The Atlantis and some sweeping desert shots.
Emirates meanwhile have resumed passenger flights to 30 destinations, with Etihad also ramping up their flight schedule.
