UAE winning fight against Coronavirus says Sheikh Mohammed

The UAE has turned a corner and is winning the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic according to the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.

Sheikh Mohammed made the comments as he took a tour around the UAE’s Covid-19 Command and Control Centre in Healthcare City.

Sheikh Mohammed said “the UAE has succeeded in countering the Covid-19 outbreak and set a commendable example for the world in managing the pandemic.”

And he praised the “heroic efforts” of frontline medics and healthcare workers during the pandemic as “a source of pride and inspiration for all of us.”

“We thank them for their commitment and professionalism and urge them to continue working with the same spirit of dedication until we completely overcome these challenges”.

The UAE has been one of the most successful countries in the battle against Coronavirus. They’ve been one of the most efficient testers in the world and used isolated lockdowns and contact tracing to drive cases down.

And they had one of the most effective full-scale lockdowns in the world earlier in the year.

In total, the UAE has had 361 fatalities and 64,102 cases to date.

And the UAE has also been one of the first countries to enter the last phase of clinical trials for a vaccine.
