UFC Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov Heading To The UAE

UFC President Dana White hinted Khabib Nurmagomedov; the reigning undisputed UFC Lightweight Champion is heading to the UAE after the controversial fight against Conor McGregor.

Khabib coming to UAE

Since the controversial UFC 229 fight versus Conor McGregor, it was unclear as what’s next for Khabib in UFC. In an interview with TMZ Sports, Dana White revealed the 30-year old is enjoying his time and when it comes to his upcoming fixtures, the organizers will “figure it out.” He said, “He’s doing this whole tour right now. He’s going to UAE. He was over at Putin. He’s doing all this stuff. Let this guy enjoy his win and then we’ll figure it out.”

Khabib and Dana White on good terms

Clearing the air, the UFC President said he’s “always had a great relationship” with Khabib despite the aftermath of UFC 229. He said “We’re all good. We’re going to get everything worked out. He was a little upset. He was a little fired up. Guys get very emotional and that was a very emotional fight for him, obviously. At the end of the day, Khabib is a great guy. We’ve always had a great relationship with him.”

Cheer for Conor McGregor

White was all-praises for McGregor’s comeback performance, who returned to UFC after a two-year hiatus. He said “Just remember, this guy took a two-year layoff and fought the baddest dude in the world, you know what I mean. That’s why people love Conor. Win or lose, he brings it. He comes to fight.” He also joked about McGregor’s whereabouts, saying he’s “probably hanging with the Dallas Cowboys!”

Khabib vs McGregor 2.0 not anytime soon

Looks like a UFC 229 sequel isn’t likely to happen, at least not in the near future. When asked about another fight between the UFC greats, White said “The fight just ended. We’re still dealing with commission issues.” What’s more, the heat is on with Khabib’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, who calls McGregor “a quitter.” said, “Khabib dominated the fight and ultimately forced Conor to tap out from a brutal neck crank in the 4th round where it looked like Khabib was gonna rip CM’s head clean off.”
