It’s been nearly six decades since the establishment of Dubai International Airport (DXB) and they’ve partnered with the city’s very own adventure-sports brand, XDubai to unveil their cool new brand makeover, by having Emirati skydiver Mohammed Baker perform what is believed to be the world’s longest skydive swoop under a fixed structure.
As many are aware of, XDubai’s crew have been behind some of the most adrenaline-pumping world records, such as the largest flag flown while skydiving and the highest base jump, from Burj Khalifa. To mark DXB’s new makeover, Emirati skydiver Mohammed Baker pulled off a jaw-dropping skydiving swoop, which is believed to be the world’s longest skydive swoop under a fixed structure. He’s shown heli-dropping with a parachute in the colours of the new brand makeover. The Emirati skydiver glides through the sky before performing a 112-metre long swoop under the Sheikh Zayed Road bridge.
Dubai International Airport gets a new brand makeover
As part of its new travel experience, DXB collaborated with XDubai on a fresh new look and feel of its brand. The brand makeover embodies the values of Dubai, demonstrating hospitality, vibrant imagination, openness to fresh ideas, and a mesmerising mosaic of exciting and inspiring experiences. His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, says “It amplifies our commitment to revolutionising the airport experience, to showcase Dubai and convert connecting passengers into repeat visitors.”
New phase for DXB after one billionth passenger milestone
DXB’s new brand makeover goes in line with their new phase after recording its one billionth passenger last year. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, Prime Minister and Vice President of Dubai says, “Today marks a new milestone for Dubai Airports weeks after celebrating its billionth passenger. A phase that carries a new identity and transforms Dubai Airports from an operator to an innovative and cultural travel experience. A new vision for the new journey of our airports.”
