Big news UAE residents! There’s a new indoor amusement park worth Dhs 3.65 billion opened at the capital city and it has got 29 rides across six themed lands.
Warner Bros. World has opened its doors
Spanning a whopping 1.65 million square feet, it has the world record for the largest temperature-controlled theme park with 29 rides. The title previously belonged to Dubai’s IMG Worlds of Adventures, with a size of 1.5 million square feet. The biggest indoor theme park, however, is the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in the US, with a gigantic size of 40 square miles.
Park was inaugurated by UAE Royals
For the opening, Warner Bros. World was inaugurated by Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan along with UAE’s Prime Minister and Vice President, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Dubai’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. The Prime Minister described the theme park as a “milestone in our capital.”
More than 48 million are expected to visit Yas Island
Yas Island has a ‘Master Plan’ vision to receive 48 million visitors by 2022. To achieve this record, Miral Asset Management, the team behind the development of Warner Bros. World is investing Dhs 12 billion into developing tourist attractions. The next upcoming tourist attraction in Abu Dhabi is Sea World, a ‘marine life’ themed park, with research centres, rehabilitation and return centres.
