Travel is still a big seller as a four-month, 31 country world cruise costing AED270,000 per person sold out in under three hours.

The Regent Seven Seas Cruise leaves from Miami in January 2024. And it takes in 31 countries including the UAE and Oman on its world tour.

But let’s be honest. If you’re going to go on a cruise, you might as well do it properly with a decent bedroom.

So the master suite option would cost AED731,000.

It really does seem like the rich have been getting richer during the pandemic!

The cruise takes in three oceans and four continents. There are 66 stops and 442 shore excursions. And you’ll have covered 34,500 nautical miles by the time you return.

The Middle East portion of the world cruise comes in the middle as it navigates through the Strait of Hormuz to reach Dubai and Abu Dhabi, before returning to Salalah in Oman.

Sadly the cruise is sold out. But with two staff to every three passengers, you might be able to get involved as one of the crew as they’ll need hundreds.

There were also fears that cruise ships with their confined environment might not have recovered after the pandemic. But this high-end trip sold out in three hours, meaning there’s a big demand to get away.

The DubaiLAD team will invest in an award-winning jet ski trip and then eat our way around the world at brunch afterwards. A lot cheaper.
