The organisers are hoping to raise $500,000 for three specific organisations. These include the Beirut Emergency Fund, Impact Lebanon and Bew’shebbek. The damage to the country has been estimated at $15 billion and left hundreds injured and without homes.
The event is a collaboration between Electronic Labor Day and Beatport and starts at 2 pm Beirut time on Sunday. The 12-hour live stream will start with a minute’s silence to honour those killed or hurt during the Beirut blasts.
The stream will then run until 2am and feature a host of names including Danny Tenaglia, Skream, Luciano, Nastia and fast-rising Palestinian DJ Sama.
