With five months remaining for the annual Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix, the post-race Yasalam concerts have announced a multi-award winning British R&B star as their third headliner.
Sam Smith is performing at this year’s Yasalam concerts
British music sensation Sam Smith will be performing at the post-race Yasalam concert on Saturday, 24th November at the du Arena at Yas Island. The British R&B and Soul artist will be heading to Abu Dhabi four days after his Australian tour, it will be his first gig in the capital city in his four years-long music career.
Guns N’ Roses and The Weeknd are headlining the Yasalam concerts
When legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses, superstar rapper The Weeknd and now Sam Smith are confirmed to perform at the Yaslam concerts, it’s guaranteed that this year’s F1 season is going to be a phenomenal one! The excitement does end here, there’s one more headliner to be announced. For now, here’s the timeline: The Weeknd is performing on November 23rd, followed by Sam Smith performing on June 24th and Guns N’ Roses performing on June 25th.

Pricing for the concert ranges from the General Admission charging Dhs 995 where concert goers get to watch the concert from the Abu Dhabi Hill to the Paddock Club seating for Dhs 3,475, wherein concert goers can enjoy privileged viewing positions, gourmet luncheons, VIP parking and an open bar. Local artists can perform at the Yasalam concert too
Musicians and bands in the country can take part in the Emerging Talent Competition. Every year, the Yasalam team gives musicians and bands the opportunity to receive mentoring by top-notch local music personalities and to perform in front of thousands of crowds. Calvin Harris headlined the Yasalam Concert last year
Last year’s Yaslam concert had prominent artists like P!nk, J Cole, British Band Mumford & Sons and DJ Calvin Harris perform while A-listers like Kanye West, Eminem, Britney Spears, Beyonce and Jay-Z have performed in the past. Rap sensation Kendrick Lamar was supposed to perform at last year’s edition too. However, he was eventually replaced by J Cole.
